Noble men gather upon the stoops of castles
donning caps of a new era
Armed with the swords which they live by
Layered in armor
shielded from the piercing blows of the bay
What passion burns in the iris of their eyes
brighter than the fire in the sky
if ever to fall, only to rise another day
No lass upon this rock bold as our native
Displays of courtship from corners
through whistles so brazen
slayed without hesitation
A youth so plagued by the truth
as what you mistook for peasants
turned out to be children
Where the lager is brewed
and cuisine unforgettable
the scenery memorable
the people immeasurable
from the tunnels below to the rooftops above
as the late king once said
we are known to spread love
As a County of Kings
we are neighbored by Queens
surrounded by founders of the city of dreams
No sleep until Brooklyn
the streets are my seams
the finest of sights these eyes ever seen
