Diana Rayyan is the amazing force behind Ateeq, an inspiring social organization in Saudi Arabia that makes all sorts of objects from old plastic bags. Called Trochet — a combination of the words “trash” and “crochet” — this eco-friendly line of accessories and even furniture is handmade by women in need. After gathering, washing and cutting the old plastic bags into strips, these skilled women turn their trash into treasure.
