New York City Is Basically Just One Frozen Pile Of Trash Right Now

And because it won’t stop snowing, the Department of Sanitation is too busy collecting snow to collect New Yorkers’ garbage.
And so, piles of trash, many covered in snow and ice, are growing menacingly large on sidewalks across the city.
The trash heaps, combined with so many slush puddles, are quickly transforming the city into a treacherous, dystopic urban tundra.

But know hope, New York. Temperatures rose ABOVE FREEZING Tuesday, and will continue to do so throughout this week — hopefully thawing the city, however briefly, from its wintry nightmare.
