Ecouterre sat down with Daniel and his brand manager and longtime friend, Chris Anderson, after his Fall/Winter 2014 presentation at Launch NYC Fashion Week to talk about his start, the label’s past four years, and the future of sustainable fashion.

For her Fall/Winter 2014 collection, designer Sheena Sood drew from the Himalayan desert of Ladakh for inspiration.

Each label brought an exciting energy to the room as they told their stories of conscious production.

There’s great interest in sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics, dyeing, and printing processes among our participating designers. Manufacture New York will have a sourcing manager who can research options like recycled fabrics, bamboo, vegan/upcycled leather, etc.
