Miny X Foox

Where else but in New York could you have thought provoking art pieces on the main floor and the feeling of a near legal basement party hidden downstairs.

Spring was in the air, but it was one of those nights that made you wonder where it went when the sun went down. But the foggy weather did little to deter the Made in NY x David Foox art show from opening its doors to art aficionados, taste makers, social gatherers, and a hip-hop mogul from coming to the Soho gallery.

This affair was exactly what the MINY gang likes to tout. Instead of the quiet, drab crowd of uniform art folk you got the range of the unique spectrum of the hard to describe people of New York. Where else but in New York could you have thought provoking art pieces on the main floor and the feeling of a near legal basement party hidden downstairs.

Energy levels inside were amazing. Everyone was vibing to the artwork and music alike. As David Foox and Prince, of Miny Gang, did the whole meet and greet with the patrons, the rest of the well-dressed crowd focused on the artwork and drank cocktails. From the bankers of Wall Street to the scenesters of the lower east side to Russell Simmons the famed Hip Hop Mogul, the mixed crowd interacted with little effort from the coordinators.

The speakers shook the art room floor to the pin. Any passerby had to just wonder what was going in inside. I am pretty sure people felt it was one of those evenings to brag about to their friends the next day. Or at least rub it in that they missed it.
