I would love to shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge…
Tell us a little bit about your history as a photographer? When did you start and why? How have you developed since the beginning? Do you have any background in traditional photography?
I graduated with a visual communication design degree but (was interested) in photography earlier. I was taking photos before, but my point of view has changed with Instagram.
Give us some technical insight into your photography; what equipment do you use and which apps for shooting and post-production?
I try to take most of my photos with the iPhone 5 or my Nikon d300. I use my phone to edit with apps like Snapseed, Camera+ and Picturefx.
When and where do you do most of your shooting?
Most of my shots are from Turkey, especially in Istanbul. I try to take photos whenever I can.
If this set of photos were a story what would it be? How do the photos relate to each other in your mind? Is there a purposeful mood or theme that goes deeper than the face value image?
“Make people stand in my shoes and take a look at the world from my eyes.” This is what I do with my photos.
Each photo is influenced by feelings of course. As a result of this my editing and shots have their own identity.
Do you intend to expand on these current themes, or do you have other ideas in mind for the future?
I know that I am getting better right now and want to add different kinds of shots to my portfolio, like portraits and black and white photos.
Have you ever been to Brooklyn? What are your thoughts on it?
I haven’t been to Brooklyn, but I’ve stayed in Chicago before. All my friends know I’m in love with New York. I admire Instagrammers from New York. I would love to shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge and also the Golden Gate Bridge (in San Francisco) in foggy weather.
