The early 1960s: This is when we got the Mets (following departure of the Dodgers and the Giants to California in the late 1950s), when Robert Moses’s reputation was fading as the public debate over urban planning was growing, when Robert F. Wagner, Jr. was our Mayor, when we got another Worlds Fair, when you or someone in your family was experimenting with drugs, and also there was lots of crime.
